Dear Mr. Manager,
First Paragraph
· The first paragraph should include a thank
you for the interviewer’s time and information.
When saying thank you, be sure to include the name of the position and
the company. Give some accolades to the
employer or the position and then reaffirm your interest.
Thank you for taking
time out of your busy schedule to interview me for the Job Title at Company Name. I appreciate the additional insight that you
were able to provide about the position and the day to day operations of Company Name. I was impressed by Include something that the interviewer said about the position or the
client that was particularly interesting or intriguing. Upon learning more about Company Name I am eager to move through
the process to be part of the Company
Name team.
Second Paragraph
· Use this as an opportunity to highlight your
skill sets that are inline with what is needed for the job as well as
addressing any issues/concerns that might have come up in the interview. Give solid examples as opposed to “I have
that experience.”
After learning more
about the Job Title position, I am
more confident that I would be a great fit for this role. Similar to this position, in my last role at ABC Company I was responsible for the Job Duties. Additionally, I was excited to hear that this
role will be More Job Duties. While I may not have extensive experience
with Job Duty, I am willing to learn
and have a proven track record of learning quickly at ABC Company.
Closing
· This should include one final thank you, an
offer to answer any questions, and letting the interviewer know that you are
able to interview again.
Thank you again for
your time today. If you have any
additional questions, please feel free to contact me and I would be glad answer
them. I am extremely excited and would
be happy to make myself available for a second interview at a time that is
convenient for you.
Sincerely,
Your Name
